Delete your Mochi account

You can delete your account and everything stored with it. This is permanent, and we cannot undo it.

From the app

  1. Open Mochi and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Open Settings and language, then Account.
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately. It signs you out and removes the account in the same step.

If you cannot open the app

Write to us from the email address on the account. We will verify the request and delete the account without undue delay, and within 30 days at the latest.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and the sign-in link to Google.
  • Every album and every photo record held on our servers.
  • Every photo file we stored for you, removed from cloud storage.
  • Anything you published to the community, and the likes and comments you wrote.
  • Your subscription record on our side.

What is not affected

  • Photos on your own phone. The app never uploaded them, so deleting the account does not touch them. Uninstalling the app or deleting them in the app removes those.
  • Your Google account itself, which is not ours to delete.
  • An active subscription, which is billed by Apple or Google. Cancel it in the App Store or Play Store, or it will keep renewing.
  • Records of purchases we are required to keep under tax and commercial law, retained for the statutory period and used for nothing else.

Delete the account first and your subscription still renews. Cancel the subscription in the store before or after, but do cancel it.

Before you delete

If any of it matters to you, save it first. On the free plan your photos are only on your device, and we have no copy to restore from.
